As you prepare for Prayer & Fasting, we encourage you to pray and ask God what type of fast you should do / what you should lay aside. (Re: food, please be sure to adhere to health / dietary guidelines that are unique to your situation).
Shop for any resources that you might need throughout your fast (juices, vitamins, teas, produce, etc.).

If you are able, set aside a sacred space where you can read the Word and spend time in prayer.
Position your heart with the right motives. Know that it’s not about “afflicting yourself” for God to hear and or answer your prayers. Instead, it’s about laying the desires of your flesh aside to focus in on God and that which you stand in need of.
